Michael Levy plays a replica of an ancient lyre that he made. This ancient sound is considered to be the first written melody. My goal in creating this video was to bring an ancient sculpture to life with authentic ancient sounds. Although the sculpture is a marble harp player from the Cycladic era, from the J. Paul Getty Museum, it is the combination of ancient inspirations that resonate.

Celebrate Life - The San Bushmen of the Kalahari

This video was commissioned by, The Tribal Trust Foundation, whose goal is to "preserve the living arts of indigenous people". Using individual frames from the movie "Vanishing Cultures" and then altering each frame using Photoshop and employing the Onadime Composer to scroll the images at various opacities, to add realtime response to sounds, as well as other wild opportunities, this video celebrates the importance of music and dance to the ancient culture of the San Bushmen of the Kalahari. The goal of this video is to raise awareness of the plight of the San Bushmen as they continue to fight for their right to inhabit their ancient lands.
